Effects of this medicine

This medicine is an antiviral agent. It inhibits the DNA synthesis of virus to suppress the growth of herpes simplex/varicella/herpes zoster virus.

It is usually used to treat infection caused by herpes simplex/varicella/herpes zoster virus, and neonatal herpes simplex virus.
