Effects of this medicine

This medicine relieves spasm of smooth muscle in the gastrointestinal tract and stimulates excretion of bile and pancreatic juice into the duodenum. It consequently relieves abdominal pain.

It also dilates the urinary duct and stimulates excretion of calculus to ease pain.

It is usually used in the treatment of cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis and urinary calculus.
