Effects of this medicine

This medicine increases urinary volume by inhibiting the action of aldosterone, removes swelling of the body by excreting excess water, and lowers blood pressure.
It is usually used to treat hypertension, cardiac edema (congestive heart failure), renal edema, hepatic edema, idiopathic edema, edema and ascites associated with malignant tumors, malnutrition edema, or to diagnose primary aldosteronism and improve symptoms.
