Effects of this medicine

This medicine enhances/prolongs antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa by elevating dopamine level, and improves motor symptoms and circadian change of symptoms (wearing-off phenomenon) in Parkinson's disease and parkinsonism in DLB (Dementia with Lewy Bodies).

It is usually used concomitantly with levodopa-containing products to treat Parkinson's disease and parkinsonism in DLB.
