This medicine suppresses fungal proliferation and shows antimycotic effects by changing the permeability of the cell membrane of trichophyton, candida, Malassezia furfur, etc., which are types of mold (fungi).

It is usually used to treat dermatomycosis including tinea (athlete's foot and ringworm), candidiasis and tinea versicolor.
