Effects of this medicine

This medicine is a vitamin B1 derivative and acts to improve impaired nerve function and heart muscle metabolism and to enhance bowel peristalsis.

It is usually used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency, for supplement in case of increasing of vitamin B1 demand and insufficient vitamin B1 intake from meals (wasting disease, hyperthyroidism, expectant mother, nursing mother or heavy labor), and for treatment of Wernicke's encephalopathy, beriberi/wet beriberi.
