Effects of this medicine

This medicine is a histamine H1 antagonist that inhibits release of allergy-inducing substances such as histamine and improves allergic symptoms.

It is usually used to treat bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, hives, eczema/dermatitis, dermal pruritus, prurigo and psoriasis vulgaris with pruritus. However, it is not effective for immediately relieving an asthma attack or symptoms which have already developed.
