This medicine decreases cholesterol and neutral fat in blood by suppressing absorption and synthesis of cholesterol from intestinal tract and promoting its excretion. It also maintains blood vessel elasticity by antiplatelet action, suppressing formation of clot and sticking of clot to the walls of blood vessels.
It is usually used to improve ulcers, pain and coldness associated with arteriosclerosis obliterans and treat hyperlipidemia.
