Effects of this medicine

This medicine suppresses production of angiotensin II, which is a hypertensive substance, by its inhibitory action on angiotensin-converting enzymes to reduce peripheral vascular resistance and consequently lowers blood pressure.
It is usually used in the treatment of hypertension.
