Effects of this medicine

This medicine is precursor of CoA in the body. It has the follwing effects: lowering serum total cholesterol and serum triglyceride, increasing serum HDL-cholesterol, promoting oxidation of fatty acid and cholesterol metabolism of vascular wall, improving platelets counts and promoting bowel movement.

It is usually used to prevent and to treat pantothenic acid deficiency, and hyperlipidemia, eczema, constipation and blood disease associated with pantothenic acid deficiency.
