This medicine acts on β3 adrenergic receptors present in bladder, and by relaxing bladder smooth muscles and increasing of bladder capacity, it makes easier to accumulate urine in the bladder.

It is usually used to treat urinary urgency, frequent urination and urgency urinary incontinence due to overactive bladder.
