Effects of this medicine

This medicine is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It shows antihypertensive and anti-heart failure effects by dilating blood vessels through suppressing the formation of angiotensin II, a strong vasoconstrictor.

It is usually used to treat hypertension and chronic heart failure (mild to moderate).
