This medicine stimulates β2 receptor on bronchial smooth muscle to dilate bronchial tube.

It is usually used to improve the symptoms caused by bronchial asthma, childhood asthma, emphysema, acute/chronic bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis and silicotuberculosis.
