Effects of this medicine

This medicine is one of the B vitamins and is the nutrient necessary for the normal development/functioning of the body tissue cells. In particular, it helps in the formation of red blood cells.

It is usually used to prevent and treat folic acid deficiency, to supply folic acid in situations where your body needs more folic acid but dietary intake is insufficient (e.g. in consumptive diseases, pregnancy or lactation), or to treat anemia which is presumed to be caused by folic acid deficiency or metabolic disorders.
