Effects of this medicine

This medicine has antacid effect to neutralize gastric acid. It also increases intestinal osmotic pressure to gather water from intestine wall, softens/expands intestinal content and gives dilative stimulation to the intestine, consequently promoting defecation.
It is usually used for antacid and improvement of the symptoms in gastric/duodenal ulcer, gastritis, upper gastrointestinal dysfunction, and for treating constipation and preventing calcium oxalate urolithiasis development.
