Effects of this medicine

This medicine suppresses proliferation of fungi (a type of mold) and shows antifungal effect by blocking actions of enzymes required for synthesis of the components of fungal cell membrane.

It is usually used to treat deep dermatomycoses, such as granuloma trichophyticum, and superficial dermatomycoses, such as tinea unguium (ringworm of the nails), that are difficult to treat with antifungal agent for external use.
