Effects of this medicine

This medicine shows immunosuppressive effects by inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis. It enables dose reduction of steroids used in combination while suppressing the recurrence of symptoms of Crohn's disease, keeps the remission duration longer when improving the disease condition after steroid therapy, and suppresses symptoms of autoimmune hepatitis.
It is usually used for induction and maintenance of remission in steroid dependence Crohn's disease, maintenance of remission in steroid dependence ulcerative colitis, and treatment of autoimmune hepatitis.
