Effects of this medicine 

This medicine is a thyroid hormone preparation and replaces thyroid hormone which is deficient due to thyroid disorder or a surgery.

It is usually used in the treatment of hypothyroidism (primary or hypophyseal) myxedema, cretinism, and goiter.
