Effects of this medicine

Levodopa is taken up into the brain to act as dopamine while carbidopa enhances transition of levodopa to the brain. By these combination, this medicine improves hand shivering, general stiffness and daily life activities, etc. caused by lack of dopamine.

It is usually used to treat Parkinson's disease and parkinsonian syndrome.
