Effects of this medicine

This medicine is a combination ointment containing active vitamin D3 derivative (maxacalcitol) and steroid (betamethasone butyrate propionate). Active vitamin D3 derivatives suppress the proliferation of epidermal keratinocytes and improve acanthosis. Steroids suppress skin inflammation and improve symptoms such as redness, swelling and itch.

It is usually used to treat psoriasis vulgaris.
