Effects of this medicine

This medicine suppresses generation and conduction of action potential in the sensory nerve of the conjunctiva and the cornea reversibly, and blocks it temporarily and paralyzes perception.

It is usually used for surface anesthesia in case of examination/treatment/surgery in ophthalmology.
