Effects of this medicine

This medicine inhibits Rho kinase to promote drainage of aqueous humor, and also acts on α2 adrenergic receptor to reduce production of aqueous humor and promote the drainage. It consequently lowers intraocular pressure.

It is usually used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension when other medicines for glaucoma have insufficient effect.
