Effects of this medicine
This medicine shows antiinflammatory effect by inhibiting synthesis of prostagradines. It also inhibits synthesis of thromboxane A2 by blocking cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1). It consequently suppresses platelet aggregation to prevent blood clotting and vessel clogging.It is usually used to treat Kawasaki disease and its cardiovascular aftereffect.
