Effects of this medicine

This medicine suppresses platelet aggregation attributed to platelet activation and consequently prevent thrombus formation in blood vessels.

It is usually used for suppression of recurrence of ischemic cerebrovascular disorder, in the treatment of acute coronary syndrome in patients who are candidates for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), stable angina pectoris and old myocardial infarction, and for suppression of thrombus formation and embolization in peripheral arterial disease.
