Effects of this medicine

This medicine shows antimycotic effect by inhibiting the growth of fungus (a type of mold).

It is usually used to treat fungemia, respiratory mycosis, gastrointestinal mycosis, mycosis of urinary tract and mycotic meningitis, and to prevent deep mycosis in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

It is also used to treat vaginitis and vulvovaginitis caused by Candida.
